This wastewater treatment plan is a privately owned Activated Sludge system. It was designed well over 20 years ago to service the then Remington’s restaurant as well as the surrounding community, which at the time was on a septic system. This “tie-in” never occurred. Remington’s went out of business and the plant sat dormant for over 10 years. The restaurant is being reopened as The Polo Club. O&M is reactivating the plant. We are implementing new process control strategies in combination with emerging technology to ensure compliance with the current effluent discharge criteria.
